Syllabus

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF EXAMINATION

1.      The syllabus includes three main streams like Nartan, Gayan and Bayan respectively.

2.      The syllabus includes course content for 7 years training.  All classes of each stream should have to complete their specified course content at the end of their academic year. The course content will include both theory and practical which learners have to appear in the examination also.

3.      The syllabus will be open for all above 6 years of age.

4.      A) The first two years will be considered as basic training courses and known as Prarambhik and Prathamik classes. After that main training course will be continued for another 5 years. They  are known as – Prathama (1st year), Prathama (2nd year), Madhyama (3rd year), Kushal (4th year), and lastly Gunin (5th year).

(B)   Students below the age group of 10 years have to appear for practical and oral examination only. They have not any theory examination.

(C)    Students of age group 10 onwards can appear for prathama (1st year ) examination

5.      Only  Prarambhik and Prathamik students have to appear practical and oral examination and total marks will be 100 for each class. The pass mark will be 30. 

6.      From Prathama (1st year) to Gunin (5th year), students have to appear for both theory and Practical examination. From prathama (1st year) to kushal (4th year), there are two separate papers for theory and practical examination for each class. The total marks for theory and practical examination will be 75 and 125 respectively. The total marks of both the examination will be 75+125=200. Pass mark will be (23+37)=60. 

7.      There will be two theory and two practical papers of Gunin examination of 100 marks each. The 1st theory paper of Gunin examination will be completely on prescribed syllabus and 2nd theory paper will be on revision of syllabus from prothoma to Kushal. Candidates have to acquire pass marks in all four papers of Gunin examination.  The total marks will be 400 (Theory 100+100=200 and Practical 100+100=200). The Pass marks will be 120 (Theory 30+30=60 and Practical 30+30=60). 

8.      The students have to pass in both theory and practical examination from Prathama to Gunin. The results will be declared after compiling both theory and practical marks. If a student disqualify in theory or practical, he or she have to reappear in both theory and practical examination next year. The results will be declared as per merit such as 80% and above- special class, 60% or  above-1st division, 50% or above -2nd division and 30% or above- 3rd division 

9.      Other than the students of Sangeet Sattra and its affiliated centers will be treated as private candidate. All private candidates must have to submit a certificate that she or he has trained as per syllabus of Sangeet Sattra under s qualified Guru recognized by Sangeet Sattra. 

10.  No candidate will be allowed to appear in more than one subject at a time of examination 

11.  No pass certificate will be issued to the candidates of Prarombhik, Prathomik, Prathama, Madhyama  and Kushal. Pass certificate will be issued for only Gunin examination  after declaring the result in due course. 

12.  The pass certificate will be distributed among the successful students of Gunin at a convocation organized by Sangeet Sattra every alternate year. 

13.  The academic year of Sangeet Satra will began from September and annual examinations held in August in every year. Results will be declared within 3 months of the examination. 

14.  All candidates may appear in the examination after depositing the examination fees fixed by the authority of Sangeet Sattra every year. At the office of the Controller of examination on due date. 

15.  The students from affiliated centre of Sangeet Sattra and the Private candidates must register their names at Sangeet Sattra. No students will be allowed to sit in the examination without registering his/her names. 

16.  The affiliated centre of Sangeet Sattra and the private candidates must register their names of newly admitted students at their centre with fixed fees to be deposited at Sangeet Sattra in the month of October every year.

17.  The examination of Sangeet Sattra will be conducted by Sangeet Sattra Pariksha Parishad

18.  All decisions regarding the examination will be taken by Sangeet Sattra Pariksha Parishad which will be fixed and final. 

19.  It is compulsory to keep a copy of syllabus with every registered students of Sangeet Sattra.
